The Big Time

Summary at bottom

They say all publicity is good publicity and I can confidently say I am no stranger to the limelight. I have already been featured on TV, in the news, and even in a national magazine for different activities. All before I turned 20.

To begin, my main reason for being on TV was through a competition called Brainbusters in high school. It was essentially a televised, team-based, trivia game show which pitted teams from different schools against each other in a bracket to win up to $10,000. From freshman to junior year, until COVID, I was a staple member of the team, being featured multiple times a year for games. In both my sophomore and junior year, we won the school $1000. We unfortunately did not get the chance to repeat this in my senior year because COVID effectively cancelled the event. However, while it lasted, it was some of the best fun of my high school career. Probably the most fun, and funniest part, was the fact that we were allowed to do our introductions. Gladly, we had two tries because most of our first tries were cringy, poorly timed, and in one case, downright controversial.

We had easily made do of this team to continue up the bracket

Next, I’ve been in the physical newspaper before for something called Pennlive’s Best and Brightest, which is an award given out to the roughly 20 best senior students across 10 central Pennsylvania counties. Not only was I printed out in the actual newspaper, but you can find the article here to enjoy for all eternity.

Imagine waking up on Sunday to that face

I was also feature in the news for Volleyball on a couple of occasions, most notably with an honorable mention in the 2021 all-star team, mid-penn second team, MPC all-division second team, and honorable mention for the sentitnal all-start team.

Also, if you happened to walk into my high school and looked up at just the right spot, you would see a little plaque with my face on it. That’s because I was inducted into my school’s hall of fame for English:

Looks uncannily like me

Then, in the summer of 2021, I was interviewed for an article in a nationally-printed National Parks magazine. The article can be found here (look who’s hands those are!), but it as actually also in-print, as I hilariously found out with some unsuspecting friends at Alibates Flint Quarry in North Texas:

Who would have thought?

I was then featured in numerous Texas A&M-run magazines and online journals: The Battalion (twice!), Texas A&M Today, and even in a local newspaper (again!):

Long-Term Plans

  • Become a part-time model and get appearances in famous magazines
  • Get in the news for a crazy invention or business I helped create
  • Launch and air my own travel TV show/documentary
